Freeport Man Charged With Attempted Murder of Girlfriend

first_imgSign up for our COVID-19 newsletter to stay up-to-date on the latest coronavirus news throughout New York A man has been accused of nearly stabbing his 34-year-old girlfriend to death in his Freeport home over the weekend.Nassau County police arrested Rolando Dubon, 31, and charged him with second-degree attempted murder.First Squad detectives alleged Dubon got into an argument with his girlfriend when the fight escalated and he stabbed her in the chest with a steak knife at noon on Friday.The victim took a cab to her mother’s house in Roosevelt, where she realized she had been stabbed. She was taken to a local hospital for treatment of her wounds.Dubon was apprehended in Brentwood on Sunday. His bail was set at $250,000 cash or $500,000 bond.last_img
