The Minor Board AGM will take place this Saturday evening at the clubhouse at the Banks at 5pm. We would ask all team managers, coaches, senior players, parents and anybody interested in getting involved in the underage setup to come along to the meeting.Under 8 and under 10 training has finished up for this year and will resume again in the new year.U12 Training continues in the Dungloe gym on Tuesday evenings from 7pm to 8pm. The Seniors played Newtown away last Sunday and came away with a hard earned point. The point leaves us in a great position for promotion to Division 2 with only Burt that can catch us and they have five games remaining. Unfortunately these games will probably not take place until the New Year. There is a level 1 coaching course taking place on Friday 2nd and Saturday 3rd December for all coaches who have completed the Foundation level and are ready to move to the next level. It is important that we continue to develop and have recognised coaches in place for the underage teams. Contact Gary Boyle for details or if yo are interested on 0863546193.The Club are organising a follow up Scrap Saturday this Saturday Nov 24th. This is where we ask all from the area to bring along any old scrap metal to the GAA Club and we will separate it before off-loading it to a recognised recycling company. The Club benefits from this and uses the money raised for forthcoming developments such as the building of additional dressing rooms, improved coaching etc. The public who take the scrap down can get rid of metal which is gathering and by doing so are helping the Club and its youth. Items accepted can range from saucepans, kettles, irons, cutlery, empty food/drink cans, radiators, waste electrical equipment, copper, aluminium, lead, bicycles, go karts, lawnmowers, old scaffolding, water pumps, steel beams, stainless steel, old cars, car and tractor batteries, engines, etcThe Club are seeking out characters and potential Michael Flately’s or Jean Butler’s for a Night of Jigs and Reels which will take place in the early Spring. We are looking for eight Men and eight Ladies who will under-go expert preparation for what should be a great night. Contact any committee member if you are interested or if you wish to nominate a local person. The club wish to express thanks to the companies and business premises who have renewed the Annual Yearly Rental for Advertising space at Mullaghderg Park.”The Banks”. We welcome and thank the new Advertisers who have come on board this year.Ta muid fior bhuioch do An Roinn Ealion Oidhreachta agus Gaeltachta as diolachan deireanach do E3003 fuighleach deontas do oibreacha forbairt ar Phairc Mhullachdearg a iocLotto details for week 16th November. Tottenham Hotspur became the first Premier League side to not sign a player in the transfer window as it shut on Thursday. But despite the lack of signings, manager Mauricio Pochettino said he was happy with his squad despite it looking certain that they won’t sign any players in the transfer window which shuts on Thursday. The Argentine appeared at the end of last season to call on the club’s owners to make some signings after Spurs finished in the Premier League top three for the third consecutive season.Their pursuit of Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish has ended but Pochettino seemed content when speaking to the media ahead of Saturday’s league opener at Newcastle United, saying it was not about making “fashionable” signings.Barcelona’s Yerry Mina, Andre Gomes sign for Everton, Kalinic moves to Atletico”It’s difficult to understand for people that Tottenham didn’t sign or sell a player, but sometimes in football you need to behave differently and we’re happy with our squad,” he said.”If we cannot improve our squad it’s better to keep it together. When it’s not possible it’s not possible and you have to move on and believe in the way we work and be competitive.”It’s not about adding because it’s fashionable. I have no doubt we are going to be competitive, with or without signings.”Tottenham will move into a new 62,000-seater stadium in September after playing their first ‘home’ game against Fulham at Wembley Stadium where they lodged last season.MASSIVE EFFORTadvertisementPochettino praised the work being done on the club’s new ground and the training complex and in securing top players like England duo Harry Kane and Dele Alli on long contracts.”The club made a massive effort to extend contracts like Harry Kane,” he said. “It’s making an amazing effort to finish our stadium. We finish the lodge at the training ground.”With so many Tottenham players involved in the latter stages of the World Cup, Pochettino has had little time to work with the whole squad leading into the first game.He even joked he was thinking he could get a game.”I am with full energy, I am fitter than last season because I was thinking if a player involved in the World Cup arrives not fit then I have a possibility to play,” the former Argentina international defender said at the club’s training ground.”I am so happy with the way they came back to training on Monday. I am so proud of them because they were very focused on trying to arrive in a very good condition.”Some need more time to get fit than others. Some will be fit to start the game. Some will be fit to be on the bench. Maybe some will stay here to try to reach the level, to give more time, because maybe we don’t want to take risks.”Tottenham, who also played Newcastle in the first game of last season, are without midfielders Victor Wanyama (knee) and Erik Lamela (muscle injury) for Saturday’s trip north.
